Have a question or concern?
  1. I didn't find what I was looking for in the first page of results.

If you're looking for something more specific than what you see, add a few letters of that word you're missing to your search. For instance, if you're searching for 'diabetes mellitus with renal manifestations', you won't find it in the top 20 results when searching 'diabetes' or 'diab'. Adding 'ren' to your search string will do the trick. If you're looking for something more specific than what you see, add a few letters of that word you're missing to your search.

  2. I still can't find what I'm looking for
      or...
    I'm not sure I agree with a code-mapping

IMO benefits from the input of users like you. Despite its robustness, there may be times when a term you use to describe a problem or disease concept is absent from our vocabulary. Perhaps the billing code doesn't match how you would code it. For this reason, IMO has created the Vocabulary Maintenance Website to allow direct communication with the IMO Knowledge Team. New terms or updated mappings requested through this site are generally available by the next release. Your organization's Vocabulary Maintenance Website Coordinator (VMWC) has credentials for accessing this website and can coordinate your request for you. If it is unknown who your site's VMWC is, feel free to contact IMO Customer Support at CustomerSupport@imo-online.com.

  3. What do those graphics mean?
  4. What does(specify) mean?

If you see (specify) to the right of a diagnosis, it means that the diagnosis requires a secondary code for reimbursement purposes. If you click or place your mouse over the diagnosis, you can see the additional code maps that exist.
